Betting on a Green Future

Betting on a Green Future

Back in May 2017, I had the sudden urge to invest in Tesla (TSLA).  In my opinion, if anyone can help transition us to a greener lifestyle, it's Elon Musk.  I'm in love with his electric cars and solar powered roof shingles. They make going green sexy as hell.

At the time, Tesla stock was going for $250 per share. I didn't move fast enough and a month later, it increased to over $300 per share. Lately, it's been teetering around $350.  Needless to say, I haven't invested but I'm keeping an eye on it.

Recently, a new opportunity presented itself. Vaute (pronounced vote) is the world's first all vegan fashion house.  I discovered them last year in my hunt for vegan winter wear. I went there looking for one winter coat and came home with two.

LeAnn Mai-ly Hilgart, founder of Vaute, works with hi-tech mills to produce innovative textiles from organic and recycled fibers, blending fabrics to create alternative solutions to animal-based clothes that are beautiful and functional.

I love them especially for their compassion for animals that most of us have turned our back to. They've helped to awaken my inner child who was the biggest animal lover and dreamed of being a veterinarian.

Vaute is looking for investors to raise $250k - $1M to expand the business in their ambition to make animals-based clothing obsolete. The investment is a convertible note which is a short-term debt that turns into equity.

I'm happy to say I'm an investor!  Check it out!  Click here if you're interested owning a piece of Vaute!
